The Channel 5 Bridge - My Favorite! |
Crossing these connectors is a study in colors and hues in the water, that would make even Bob Ross salivate, as he yearns to add some happy little corals.
Your Conchquistador has such a fascination and love for these concrete spans, that my License Plate is CONCH42.
These bridges create their own narrative, like a novel or film, with the dramatic opening of the so-high Jewfish Creek Bridge, hitting you over the head like a Beethoven opening, with it's jaw dropping views. An overture and foreshadowing of what's later to come. As the story goes on, Snake Creek Bridge bursts open the first great water view since, and closes out Act 1.
As you progress, you reach the Dramatic midpoint of the 7-Mile Bridge, the tension of the sight of the Old Bahia Honda Bridge, and a slow resolution of the endgame, after crossing the denouement of the Nile Channel Bridge.
Yes, Intrigue, Mystery, and Love... the labors of Love and sacrifice that went into building Flagler's original bridges, over 100 years ago, and the subsequent newer bridges.
This journey is a must on any Bucket List!
